Janis Ashkin helps clients manage their careers effectively. She provides assistance with job search, resume writing, interview skills, career change, and retirement planning. For clients who wish to make a career change she administers career assessments including the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, Strong Interest Inventory, Self-Directed Search, SkillScan and the StengthsFinder.
Janis has expertise with the Federal Government job search process. She has provided career counseling and career coaching services to employees of federal government agencies for more than a decade. Services include USA Jobs Resume preparation and review and structured interview preparation.
Other areas of expertise include providing services to older workers (job seekers from their 40s-60s). Janis feels strongly about advocating on behalf of her clients and providing them with the proper tools to fight age discrimination.
Janis has a Master of Education; Counselor Education degree from Georgia Southern University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the State University of New York at Fredonia. She is a Master Career Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor, Nationally Certified Career Counselor and has a Human Resources Certificate in Conflict Management from Kennesaw State University.
