About Me (Public)
I am a Certified Career Counselor (CCC) and career management consultant operating in private practice, following a two-decade career working at Emory University's Career Center. My clients are from every diverse background and range from recent college graduates to later-in-life career changers - so many of whom feel "stuck" (as I once did) in not knowing how to go about pursuing new and rewarding directions in their career. I meet with many of my clients virtually in their own homes but do arrange face-to-face meetings with Atlanta locals, when they prefer it. I hold an M.S. in Counseling and Educational Development from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a B.A. in Journalism & Media from UNC-Chapel Hill. My clients benefit from a blend of career assessment and homework designed to actively take steps toward their goals. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral, as well as narrative, constructivist, and transition theory and am attuned to clients who may need more tailored strategies, such as people from neurodiverse backgrounds.
