GCDA Reading and Resource Hub will be reading The Search, Finding Meaningful Work in a Post Career World by Bruce Feiler. Careers, jobs and work have changed since the pandemic, and as career professionals we are seeing how these changes have affected our clients. We need to rethink how we guide our clients as they plan and prepare for their work path. Through thousands of hours of interviews, Feiler tells us the story of people who have selected nonlinear paths to have happier lives and use their skills and experience more effectively in their work.

The Reading and Resource Hub meets the third Friday of each month (next meeting January 19th) at noon to discuss what we are reading. Each month we will discuss a portion of The Search, starting with part one of the book, The Three Lies About Work.

We invite you to join us for a lively discussion about the twists and turns of work and careers. You are welcome to bring your lunch.

An invitation to Google Meet will be sent before the meeting.

The Search is available on Amazon for less than $20.

The Search was featured on NPR in June 2023 on the show Here and Now.
